This Privacy Policy explains how Printlay ("we", "us") handles the information you provide when you use printlay.in, request a quote, upload a model, apply for a job or otherwise contact us. We are based in Chennai, India, and process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

• Contact details you submit — name, email address, phone number, company or college, designation and any notes.
• Files you upload — 3D models, CAD files, drawings and related documents attached to a quote or job application.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and analytics cookies.

2. How we use it

• To prepare and send you a quote and to deliver the service you ask for.
• To contact you about your enquiry, order or application.
• To improve our website and services, and to keep records required for tax and accounting.

We do not sell your personal information or your uploaded files, and we do not use your design files for any purpose other than preparing your quote and fulfilling your order.

3. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business (for example our hosting and email providers) and where required by law. Any such provider is bound to use the data only for the service they provide to us.

4. Retention

Enquiry and quote records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal obligations. Uploaded files are kept only as long as necessary to quote and produce your parts, and are deleted on request once the job is complete.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers. While no method of transmission is completely secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use it. You can block cookies in your browser settings; essential site functions will still work.
