CNC machining at Printlay

CNC Machining Services in Chennai

Complex components machined to the highest precision — 3, 4 and 5-axis milling and turning, prototype to production.

Count on Printlay

Impossible tolerances? Unbelievable complexity?

Our CNC machinists have the experience to hold close tolerances on demanding parts, and our programmers graphically simulate rotary and multi-axis moves for accurate, time-efficient machining of complex shapes. From a first prototype to a repeat production batch, one shop takes it from drawing to inspected part.

  • 3, 4 and 5-axis milling, turning and mill-turn.
  • Metals and engineering plastics — wide material choice.
  • DFM feedback, in-process and final inspection.
  • Competitive pricing without compromising quality.

FAQ

Common questions

What tolerances can you hold?

General machining to about ±0.05 mm, with tighter tolerances down to a few microns on critical features by agreement. Call out the critical dimensions on your drawing.

Do you machine one-off parts?

Yes — from a single prototype to low-volume batches. We program, fixture and machine to your 2D drawing or 3D model.

What file formats do you need?

A STEP or Parasolid 3D model plus a dimensioned 2D drawing with GD&T and critical dimensions. IGES and native CAD are also fine.

Can you finish the parts — anodising, plating, bead blast?

Yes. We coordinate anodising, plating, powder coating, bead blasting, passivation and heat treatment, and deliver finished, inspected parts.

How fast can I get machined parts?

Simple prototype parts in about a week; complex 5-axis or multi-op parts and larger batches take longer. Every quote states a lead time.
